The Train Is Already at the Platform | Apostolic Wisdom Daily Manna

"Jesus said to her, 'I am the resurrection and the life. Whoever believes in Me will live, even though he dies. And everyone who lives and believes in Me will never die. Do you believe this?'" (John 11:25-26, BSB)

Everyone at a railway station knows the board. "Train arriving at 6:40." You wait. You check the time. You trust the timetable. Martha was doing just that. Her brother had died, and Jesus told her he would rise again. She answered like a good believer of her day: "I know he will rise again in the resurrection at the last day" (John 11:24). It was a true hope. But it sat on a timetable, far off. Then Jesus says something that changes the whole station. "I am the resurrection and the life." He doesn't point at the board. He points at Himself. The train isn't coming someday. It's standing at the platform. That's the heart of this verse. Resurrection life isn't only a date in the future. It's a Person you can know now. The old hope of Israel looked ahead to a day.
