Nothing Missing | Apostolic Wisdom Daily Manna

"For in Christ all the fullness of the Deity dwells in bodily form. And you have been made complete in Christ, who is the head over every ruler and authority." (Colossians 2:9-10, BSB)

A mother packs a tiffin box in the morning. Roti, sabzi, a little pickle, even a sweet. When it reaches school, the child doesn't ask, "Is something missing?" Everything is already inside. That's how Paul talks about you. "You have been made complete in Christ." Not almost. Not on the way. Complete. Why does he say it? The believers in Colosse were being told they needed more. They were told to keep special days, new moon festivals and food rules, and to add some deeper secret experience. These all sound religious. Paul answers them kindly but firmly. Those things "are a shadow of what was to come; the substance, however, is found in Christ" (Colossians 2:17). Notice the order. First, verse 9: all the fullness of God lives in Christ in bodily form. Then, verse 10: and you are made full in Him.
